‘Rock Mechanics for Africa’

The 2017 ISRM International Rock Mechanics Symposium is to be held in Cape Town. The conference theme is “Rock Mechanics for Africa”.

Prior to the conference, the ISRM Board, Council and Commission meetings will take place. Technical visits are being arranged for after the conference.

Call for papers

The Symposium is being organised by the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and the South African National Institute of Rock Engineering (SANIRE). Individuals are invited to submit papers for the Symposium. Titles and short abstracts (no more than 500 words) should be submitted in English.
