Migration from old system to new system and data glitches identified.

Minerals Councils South Africa has migrated to a new administrative system that manages and control the uploading, updating, and publishing of all examination results conducted by the council.
The first time that examination results was being used to upload to the new system was for the results of the May 2022 examinations. Unfortunately, we picked up a system “glitch/error” on Friday, 29th July, for the results that were uploaded. All the results that were uploaded on the 29th July were thus incorrect.
After detecting this “glitch/error” on the evening of 29th July 2022 corrective measures were taken and correct results were uploaded before end of day, 30 July 2022.

The Minerals Council must apologize for these inconveniences / errors that had arisen in switching over to our new CoMCert system. We are confident that such incidence will not take place in the future.
