Sharing Your Grief & Remembering with you

Vernon Baptiste 12012023Vernon Baptiste was the father of two lovely children, Brosnan and Rume’ and loving husband to Roeleen Baptiste. He has passed away on the 15th December 2022 whilst sleeping peacefully at his home in Randfontein.

Vernon attended Danie Theron Primary School where he initially met his future Wife, Roeleen. He attended High school at Wonderfontein and thereafter Carletonville. He was very popular amongst his friends and enjoyed playing rugby at school.

Vernon joined the M and J Mining team in March 2011 and always displayed honour, friendliness and a professional approach in every job position he held. He was instrumental in the development of the blast on mesh product as aerial support in the mining industry and held the position of mesh development champion for the past 2 years.

Vernon achieved a great deal in his dedicated work within M and J Mining. From starting off as an underground instructor, he worked his way up to product champion for blast on mesh. His focus and ideals have gone a long way to helping save lives whilst remarkedly improving the safety statistics in the mines he dealt with. His legacy shall live well into the future and will benefit many mine workers in the years ahead. He will be sorely missed by the M and J team.

Vernon also served SANIRE as the Supplier Representative of the Gauteng branch committee and his contribution to SANIRE will not be forgotten.

Vernon had 2 sayings “regret always comes too late” and “Live your life to the fullest.” Which Vernon did, he enjoyed life until the very end.

Rest in Peace Vernon.
